Past the head and block date casting codes, to determine the year(s) of casting.

Your code's format has no year information - it was used from 1958-1962.

The J designates 3100-3800 truck.

Date codes on both the block and head are K208. So, November 20 1958 and like you said the serial code indicates Flint engine plant and that it is a truck engine. Sure gives me hope this is the original engine with the truck. Thanks for your help!

A Nov engine usually indicates it was put in a 1959 truck.
