Background,

The truck is a 1952 Chevy 6400.

The original engine and bellhousing are gone.

I have acquired '58 235 with diagonal mount bellhousing and 12 volt starter.

It also came with a loose 216/235 bellhousing with the flat mounting surface that will work with my crossmember.

However, the rubber/metal mounts for the bellhousing are missing.

It looks like I have a few choices for replacement parts.

All of those pretty much look the same except for the one that classic industries has that is for a 2nd series.

I just wanted to get your guys confirmation on which style I needed before I bought some.

I'm also curious as to your experiences with any of the vendors.

If you got your mounts from somewhere else, where did you get yours from?

Also, I couldn't find these on RockAuto which was disappointing. If anyone knows where to find them on RockAuto, please chime in as well.

Hy whateverpratt, I found mounts at RockAuto. These are Anchor mounts, p/n 2060 is the narrow design mount for the lighter trucks $3.41, p/n 2073 is the wider/heavier design for the larger trucks $4.11, hope that helps.

Could my rear motor mounts from Rock Auto at a great
price.

Being the rear mounts bolt to the clutch housing
and not the engine so Rock Auto lists the rear motor
mounts in the transmission section. Jeffrey

That's great. I found what I needed. What about the front mount? Does anyone have an anchor number for that one? I'm also looking for a replacement mount for my radiator support.

Ok, it looks like the front mount is Anchor 2007, but I don't have the hardware for the front mount. Isn't there a metal plate or something?

Hy whateverpratt, there is a mount plate which bolts to the front of the engine block behind the timing gears, it drops down below the balancer and has a 90 degree bend which the front engine mount bolts to. If you need one of those plates please post an ad in the parts wanted forum farther down the page, hope that helps.

What we really need to do is to motivate Hotrod Lincoln to come up with a better, simpler design for the front mount.

The website mentions it goes between the engine (the mounting part on the timing cover) and the rubber mount. Does that sound right?

Hy whateverpratt, there are two pieces on the top side of the rubber if I remember correctly one is just a cover, I think that the cover is what your link goes to. So your engine already has the mount plate mounted to the engine block?
