Hi all,

I'm looking to get my truck inspected soon and on the road. My 3600 is just a cab and chassis, which P.O. removed the old grain box bed that it had. To pass, I need to get the rear wheels covered. I did pick up a cheap set of rear fenders that aren't great, but will serve the purpose. I was wondering if anyone can show any examples of using some kind of lumber just over the axle which would be sufficient to hold a pair of fenders on? Also, I have the rear fender to frame brackets, but nothing else to align the fenders over the wheels to. Any suggestions?

Thanks as always!

I used two pieces of 1" square tubing C-clamped to the frame rails and sections cut out of a 55 gallon oil drum for temporary fenders on the pickup I built up for my son.

Thanks Hotrod - I had considered something like this, until I found the fenders. I'm thinking a few pieces of lumber running fender to fender, bolted to frame, with a plywood backing to bolt the frame to. This won't be long term. Can anyone help with fender placement? Thanks!
