First, is has a couple breaks between the vertical bars, I guess they are just from stress over the years as it is the original grill. Do I need to get those welded up or are they ok as long ase the grill is secured?
Second, there are some places in seccurring my grill missing screws. I put some screws in but they vibrated out not long after. My thought would be to use 6 penny or larger size nails and JB Weld on the backside of the grill. If at the bottom of the verticals, I would remove the grill- sanblast - and place a 1/4 or 3/16 inch bare steel rod inside the entire bottom bending the rod to the contour as I did on my 42. MIG tack in place on bottom/back side rejoining any seperated pieces. Weld other breaks as necessary.
