Just re-posting previous subject. The bed floor in my 46 appears to be original with 5" hardwood boards which appear to lap at the joints and are bolted through to the under braces with carriage bolts and there are NO metal retaining strips as were used in the 50's and onward. I've seen several restored 46 trucks with the wider wood boards/metal strip combination. Anyone know which is correct? My truck is Canadian.

Your question was moved to the Bed forum and received several answers there.
