If you decide to run without vents, you need to plan on a well designed PCV system.
The vents have a dual purpose.
They are there to provide a way for air to enter the crankcase as the fumes are sucked out by the road draft tube while the truck is underway.
They also allow water vapor to escape while the truck is not underway (when the road draft tube doing nothing about the fumes).
Without the vents, water will collect in the valve cover, leaving a milky slime.
