If i was making and selling an item that relates to our inline engines can i post it in this topic or does it have to be in the swap area? | | | | Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 385 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 385 | Im assuming i can post a description and such but i would do the business end of it with private pm's and email correct? Seems to be what others do. | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 Bubba - Curmudgeon | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 | Any/All personal buying/selling/advertising/requests should take place in the Swap Meet.
The general/logical reason for this is that personal buys/sales/trades/etc are one-off deals - no lasting value. The Swap Meet is "pruned" regularly, all fora outside the Swap Meet do not get pruned. | | | | Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 385 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 385 | OK i will post the actual selling ad in the swap meet area but post my part here as showing off what i made and just plug it like some others do. Not selling a one time item but something that others can possibly take advantage of.
Just dont think some people will come across it posted in the swap meet area. | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,059 Renaissance Man | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,059 | Post it here. If the moderator sees fit to move it, he will. No problemo.

I don't think that Jerry sells his balancer tool here (at least I have never seen it advertised for sale here).
I think your covers are pretty cool, though- I have those carbs and will have to sync them at some point before I drive it.

Once you did that, your post became a swap meet forum discussion. The moderator put it where folks looking for such an item would easily find it, which is in your favor. Cool item, BTW and I hope you make many sales.

That being said I have seen discussions about various tools in forums outside of the Swap Meet. The only logical answer is the Moderators were sleeping.
