Just wanted to get clarification on something. If i was making and selling an item that relates to our inline engines can i post it in this topic or does it have to be in the swap area?

Im assuming i can post a description and such but i would do the business end of it with private pm's and email correct? Seems to be what others do.

Any/All personal buying/selling/advertising/requests should take place in the Swap Meet.

The general/logical reason for this is that personal buys/sales/trades/etc are one-off deals - no lasting value. The Swap Meet is "pruned" regularly, all fora outside the Swap Meet do not get pruned.

OK i will post the actual selling ad in the swap meet area but post my part here as showing off what i made and just plug it like some others do. Not selling a one time item but something that others can possibly take advantage of.

Just dont think some people will come across it posted in the swap meet area.

Post it here. If the moderator sees fit to move it, he will. No problemo.

Now I'm curious about what the item you're making is....

That's good advertising 😉

ok so topic is moved. not cool..... seems like mods dont mind others like jerry posting things about their own balancer install tools and self promote it not in the swap meet section but for others its taboo.

It's probably only taboo if you're selling items, as that would be using the forum for personal gain, which is probably not what the creator envisioned.

I don't think that Jerry sells his balancer tool here (at least I have never seen it advertised for sale here).

I think your covers are pretty cool, though- I have those carbs and will have to sync them at some point before I drive it.

Wolf...I think your post telling about the tool was fine where you initially posted it until you mentioned they were for sale. Once you did that, your post became a swap meet forum discussion. The moderator put it where folks looking for such an item would easily find it, which is in your favor. Cool item, BTW and I hope you make many sales.

If someone asks Jerry outside the Swap forum he will almost always tell them to PM him for details. That being said I have seen discussions about various tools in forums outside of the Swap Meet. The only logical answer is the Moderators were sleeping. drive

Wolff,

Is your item somewhere on this forum? I'd like to see it.
