Anyone know where to buy a 12 volt starter?? If there is already a thread on this topic, I apologize!

Steve, post this in the "Parts Wanted" forum in the Swap Meet section, more folks might see it there and one may have what you need.

Make 2 more posts and you can send and receive PM's.

If your '54 has a stock flywheel you can't use a 12V starter with it.

As cletis posted, you can't use a 12 volt starter with a stock '54 flywheel.
Additionally, you do not need to use a 12 volt starter when converting to a 12 volt battery.
The 6 volt starter not only works powered by 12 volts, it starts the engine Right Now since it turns the engine faster.
