Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 204 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2004 Posts: 204 | I am thinking using a bedliner underneath cab floor. I am thinking about using Line-X, Inyati, or Rhino-Liner. However, I saw an add for Helculiner this weekend and I am thinking it will be a lot cheaper to do it myself. http://www.herculiner.com/ Has anyone used this product? Or should I just spend the $$ and get the job profesionally done. Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 41 Member | | Member Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 41 | I helped a buddy of mine paint his truck bed with it, and it works quite well. Surface prep, as with any painting project, is the key. The instructions say 2 coats; we used 4 and you can't tell it wasn't rhino or line-x.

It comes in spray cans and quart cans for roll/brush on application. I find that the spray cans were easier to use for some of the applications, no cleanup and you can control the texture by how far away from the surface you spray. It does seem to chip, but that may be a result of poor prep on my part. Dupli-Color is less expensive than Herculiner.

Used it on the inner running boards of my '56. Wife was beating them up. Previously had my bed Rhino-lined. Can't really tell much difference in appearance. For what you want to do with it, I'd definitely go with the Herculiner. | | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 204 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2004 Posts: 204 | Update ... I found Heculiner on sale at Checker / Kragen / Schucks for $59 for the starter kit. (normally $99).
Anyways I bought it and it looks awesome. I have two coats on right now and it looks like a professional did it. I am probably going to put 1 more coat for thickness.
Overall I give this a 5 star rating! | | | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 3,458 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 3,458 | I did the interior of a Jeep with it once. It looked great but didn't stand up well to abrasion. It was easy to repair though, just slather more on there. It does have nice sound absorbing properties.
