The truck wont be in my garage till Friday or Saturday morning. The battery was dead or I would have gotten some better pictures in the sunlight. I posted some side angle pictures on the Welcome Forum and Big Bolt Forum.
Not sure of the pump make yet but was told it was a Bronze or brass pump. I believe it was a primary Fire engine at one time and in 1997 (40 years of service)was transferred to a Vol. Fire Dept. where it remained for another 20 years. It is a 750 GPM pump in a Pirsch and Sons body. She has a MGW of 22,000# and a combined of 38,000#. She's powered by a 347ci Poncho motor (57 only) rated at 206 HP at 4400rpm and 182 HP net at 3600rpm. She stretches out at 176" wb on 20" tires. I went to get the truck started this morning and had good luck with a new hot battery and a little fresh go juice. She was a little congested at first but smoothed out and actually sounded very healthy. I was a happy guy....for a minute or two. The brakes or lack thereof was a little bit of a problem. Mountain Rescue has their name for a reason. We could get a little pedal but when the pedal went to the floor and stuck, I decided to schedule a tow truck to bring her off their mountain and over to mine. 20 years ago I would have taken off and let her run to the bottom of the mountain....one way or the other. Older, wiser and I don't heal as quick these days. Photos to follow
