The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop Steering column mounting bracket color?

OK Boltheads, Here's one for the purists! What color should I paint the 2 cast brackets that hold the steering column to the dash? Dash color? Column color? Some other bizzare GMC color? I am restoring a '52 GMC 5-window long half, with a 270 and a 4-speed. All replies appreciated.

Not positive about GMC's, but Chevy's were dash color. I would assume the same.
