'37 GMC T-18 w/ DD 4-53T, RTO-610, 6231 aux., '95 GMC running gear, full disc brakes, power steering, 22.5 wheels and tires.
'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

Are you going to keep the fire truck bed on it?

If not, there is an inline pump with disc brake(probably) that you can remove and replace with a Brownie, OD, transmission, to help you with road speed, if you need it. Make sure to get a Brownie with attached brake, Tru-Stop is popular, so you will have a park brake.

I'll have to evaluate the truck before I make a final decision on "bedding" the lady. I have been looking at the P30 swap and have a local with an aluminium roll back on a blown up truck. Wheelin an Dealin if it comes to that. I have a fresh old school built 454 ready if necessary but it won't make a good long haul motor. I/4 mile deliveries would be a snap though.
