Factory assembly manual shows where seam sealer is to be applied in cab areas but couldn't see anything for rear of panel trucks. Are there areas of the panel that require seam sealer? I have seen on here that some are sealing the drip edge but wasn't so sure of that, didn't see anything in that area when stripping paint. Thanks

I believe that there is sealer around the flange that bolts to the floor like under the wheel well flange and under the back piece also

Allrighty, areas around the fenders have some good sized gaps, the rest is pretty tight. See what I can do without making too big a mess. grin Thanks

King, Not sure what brand seam sealer you are using. I really liked the 3M Fast and Firm before they went to a new formula. Some guys love the new stuff... I'm not one of them. We use either SEM or 3M 2 part seam sealer now. It does require the special gun to go with it, but it does go on much better. We use reducer to dip our finger in to spread the seam sealer. This helps the seam sealer not stick to your fingers. Put some in a small cup and dip your finger often to keep things from getting out of control.

We use reducer because it generally will not effect the primer or other paint like lacquer thinner would....

Good luck!

Appreciate the advice, haven't bought any seam sealer yet. Checking the web and prices are all over the place. Will have to see what my local guy has to offer, he has been pretty reasonable as of late.
