Well I went wild, and decided to do some work to her so she will keep moving me. In the past few months and hopefully wrapping up this weekend I have done the following:

New kingpins and bushings - had one side that was going out and did the other because it was there.
Reconditioned springs and new pins and bushings at all spring hangers. If you haven't done this to your truck, I suggest considering it. It has taken what was a somewhat rattling ride and made a nice and quiet and even a somewhat more stable ride on the highway. Noticeable difference for sure.

While the hubs were off for the kingpins, I noticed I had a bearing giving up metal flakes. After some, -No- a LOT of searching:
New front wheel bearings and seals, and since I was in there and it has been nearly 20 years, new wheel cylinders on both sides, and relined brake shoes on one side, the other side had new relined shoes last year and they still look new.

Went to the rear, and found that what I thought wasn't much of an oil leak was more than enough to be a big problem. Pulled everything apart, and ended up with new wheel bearings and seals, an oil change, relined brake shoes, and new wheel cylinders.
Finished the drivers side rear this evening, and hopefully tomorrow will get the passenger side rear re-assebled and everything bled and adjusted and ready for the next 20 years .

That is an awesome truck. I watched a couple of the videos you posted to youtube, glad to see you are still using it for the work it was intended for.

Thanks for the kind words. Passenger side all buttoned up and everything bled and adjusted. Looks like no leaks so far after a test ride into town today. It all wasn't cheap, but then again some of the parts that were replaced were 70+ years old...and I'm willing to bet a few of the replacement parts were on the shelf almost as long judging by the packaging. Had to rebuild a portion of the parking brake linkage, it broke when attempting to adjust it out to work with the new shoes and that was after a lot of oil and even using the torch to get it free...

I also forgot to mention the 6 new tires. She is ready for the ball now! Hopefully in a few weeks when the new shoes settle in, I can get everything adjusted back up and she will be essentially new from the frame down.
