The adapter is to allow the older/smaller-hole mechanical "bulb" to fit in a newer/wide-hole head.
You have a smaller-diameter sender that needs to newer/wider hole (a later head).
If I understand this incorrectly, we'll soon hear corrections/clarifications.

The link shows a reducer, he needs the opposite. Find another hole somewhere that is xx ....or a xx (sender thread) to 3/8 MNPT reducer. This one is 5/8-18 straight internal threads to 3/8 MNPT I don't know what size your sender threads are. Measure them. The TS6 is 1/2 NPT. You may need ThisThe problem will be if the probe will fit down deep into adapter so as to "sense".

The adapter is for a later model head with a 1/2" tapered pipe thread in it, to make it fit the sensing bulb for a mechanical gauge. I have seen people plug the small gauge hole and drill and tap the head for the proper pipe thread, but it is a tricky operation and the hole has to be drilled exactly right. Another approach is to put a later model upper thermostat housing with a threaded hole in it on the engine, and put the electrical sensor there, then use a short bolt and a copper disc to plug the original gauge hole.

I guess one can be drilled and tapped. How about a TEE on the heater hose outlet?
