Can you tell me what they are? Thanks | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,988 Sir Searchalot | Sir Searchalot Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,988 | Lower Grille support. Upper/lower front valance/filler bracket. Start putting everything together and see what's missing to mount something If there are any 58-59 trucks for sale in your area or Saturday nite shows/meets or custom builder shops near, that's a good way to see and take pics of 58-59 parts and piece locations. You gotta find another truck or a pic. FAM does not show, that I could find. | | | | Joined: May 2014 Posts: 92 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: May 2014 Posts: 92 | I'm easily confused. You mentioned 2 possibilities: Lower grill support and filler/valance bracket. Are those the same things? | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,988 Sir Searchalot | Sir Searchalot Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,988 | That's what they are called in several Ebay listings. It gets you the right area, the right purpose. I don't have a truck to look at so can't get specific. Saw several EBAY parts like yours and those were the names. Best I can do. From the shape and the distance between mounting tabs of those brackets you should be able to figure it out by observing the grille, the upper filler and the lower filler (which you are missing). I found three listings, some were for 59 Chevy cars. But there is a guy who says truck."Lower Grille Support". Maybe a Stovebolt member with a 58/59 will respond. I don't have mine anymore.

In the pics, it looks like those brackets are slightly inboard of the frame rails, right? I'll check the truck Monday, but those pics are indeed worth a thousand words!! | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 74 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: May 2010 Posts: 74 | yes, inboard of the frame rails. If you want more pictures or a description, let me know and I can add some information. | | |
