| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 74 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 74 | I would not believe this if it did not happen to me.When i got this truck i just parked back the garage and worked on freeing up the cylinders. THEN it got cold so i got it back together and started it the other day. I then had a stalling problem when i let the clutch out. SO i started running down the issue i might have. OH ,by the way THANKS again for all your help with this.I dropped the drive shaft& took the cover off the punkin in the rear.CHECKED OUT. SO i took the tranny out and put it in the garage to take it apart. SO today early i found the time to heat the garage & tear into it.I pulled the oil plug nothing came out. so i took the side plate off and oil came out, Here is the thing, the case was filled with solid clear block of ice half way up the side plate which had frozen the gears.HOLY GOD how did the water get in there i do not know. GOT the heat gun melted the block of ice & the trans now turns. BELIEVE it or not.
