Just finished media blasting some old aluminum rims and some finned alum valve covers. I want to paint this to match the truck. No powder coating! Is there a specific method of painting alum rims? Special primers/paint/clear?

aluminum oxide primer - Rusteoleum & Hammerite have it - preferable to zinc chromate, the other choice

Bill's right on the money. You have to use the primer made for aluminum it will seal the aluminum and give the paint something to stick to.

Epoxy primer is the best bet.
