I was thinking of putting one of those roll on Bed Liners on my 60' short Step Side.

I don't have the time to do a frame off restoration right now, so I just want to fix it up as a weekend runner that will see normal use as a workhorse for the weekend warrior.

If I use a roll on bed liner on the sides, front panel and tailgate, can it be blasted off in the future if I choose to performa frame off restoration or is it considered permanent?

What do you think?

That stuff is pretty tough. It may be that if you heat (torch) it and scrape when warm it will come off in a mess. Nevertheless, its what I plan on putting on my bed.

Thanks tlorber..

I think I might pass on it since I might do a complete frame off resto in the future if the kids get into it. If it was removeable by sandblasting, I might think about using it but heating it would probably make too much mess and I doult it would all come off.

I do plan on using it on my 1965 c30 because that old bird was never meant to be a show truck (new or old). I might even use it on the floor and underneath the cab!

FYI to anyone considering this... if you're going to do it make sure you use the good stuff... like the saying goes "You get what you pay for". I used the cheap stuff and followed the "for best results" directions (apply 3 coats) after proper cleaning... yeah it looks GREAT til something actually touches it then it scrapes right off. I think next time I'll just bite the bullet and have it done professionally. Best of luck
