1961 Apache, I see there are four threaded holes on the top of the radiator support bracket. I also see four threaded holes on the top of the grille support where the hood latch is mounted. Two of these hole are located on the inside corners of the front fenders. Can anyone tell me what these are used for?

Pictures would help. But 2 holes IVO of the hood latch bracket might be for a radiator holddown bracket. I have seen some rad support with those holes and some without. I have not researched why some would include the holddown bracket. My 62 w/283 came without. A 66 w/250 came with.
I dont have a good sense of where the other 2 fall out.

Ok, I figured it out. There are two sheetmetal pieces that attach to the grille support and the radiator support on either side of the hood latch. Now that I know this it explains why I couldn't figure out how to attach the rubber hood bumpers

In 1963 they changed the way the radiator mounted. They removed the side mounts and went to a couple of U-shaped brackets on the bottom with rubber bushings and a single mount on top.
