The Stovebolt Site Forums The Side Lot Whole Wild West Coast West Coast Help Please

Fellas....contemplating attending the GNRS in Pomona in Jan 2017 or the Sacramento Autorama a couple weeks later. Can't go to both, and don't really care to see a lot of late model autos so which one would you guys recommend?

One of these years I will hit the GNRS. But only because I live in Pomona.

Pomona is nice; lots of trailer queens and horrors
Not too many stovebolts

Been to GNRS several years. Agree with Suburban Lou as to the lack of stovebolts but way over the top cars and trucks!!! There are 8-10 different buildings with each one has its own theme, i.e. salt cars in one, low riders in another, gassers in another, woodies and rat rods in another. They crown the most beautiful roadster at the event. Never been to the Sactown show, so no input. The other show I would suggest is the Fathers Day roadster show at the fairgrounds (assuming you like 32 fords???) Way over the top cars and lots of vendors to take your money!!!

The best part of L.A. Roadsters is the swap although they ask for way too much for their stuff!
