Anyone have a trick for removing these that are stuck. Lots of Kroil and lots of time already. Most of them came loose with a big chisel that I can get a big crescent wrench on for torque, but a couple aint givin' up. Didn't fire the torch up yet, that's next.

There's a special 1/2" drive socket- - - - -usually called a "drag link socket" although those are actually a little bigger to fit the larger slot in the drag link. I see them on Evil-bay sometimes, and the tool trucks like Snap-On or MAC can special order them.

Just looked- - - -dozens of 'em on Ebay- - - -pretty reasonable prices, too.

I used to keep a few around the shop and custom grind a slightly oversize one to as close a fit in the slot as possible. It helps to have a good fit on the rusty, stubborn ones.

And use an impact wrench, if possible, need to adequately secure first.

When I had this problem, I had a rebuild kit complete with a new plug. I drilled a series of holes across the groove and it came out easily in two pieces.

Mine were the same way. Soaked for days with p-fluid and no movement. I finally put some heat to it and they broke loose.
