The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Interiors seat back repair

When I got my '51 it had most of the parts but they weren't all from this truck. The seat back seems to have been stored on one end and it is rusted in a couple of key places. Does anyone know of a place to get seat parts that I can fix/replace with?

Murphy, I don't know of a place with parts in a kit or single component type deal, most just start from scratch using a wire welder with a generous amount of freehand shaping of whatever replacement metal is required.

I'd hit the back roads in your area with an eye behind barns and old businesses.

My brother and I have been hunting off Divide Road since 98 and I'm always seeing interesting old iron I'd love to check on when I'm in your part of the world.

PS, ebay is "sometimes" your friend. There's a salvage yard (I think) in the Chicago area that often runs ads on old trucks with a number to call for specific needs. If I run across it I'll share.
