there's an engine/tranny on CL
http://denver.craigslist.org/pts/5861431263.html
... would this be good for parts for 1960 235 ?
The 1960 is running now, but will rebuild soon.
Thinking it might be nice to have spare engine stuff.

Not very good for parts for a 1960 235.

The 50-52 235 had a different head-bolt pattern compared to 1953/54 and later 235s. And, the 50-52 was a low-pressure engine.

The optional/accessory oil filter (if it has one) would work OK on later 235s.

You could get the valve cover to work (by changing a few mounting bolts onto the later 235).

I have a 235 out of a 1960 apache 10, but all that is left is the crankshaft rods, pistons, intake/ exhaust manifold block (would need bored, has scratch in #2 cylinder) flywheel, clutch and pressure plate. if interested email me at [email protected]

person-to-person selling should not take place here

Try a Private Message (or, place a Parts for Sale ad) - dbwr does not list an email address.

Also, Try to Engine pages for the engine compatibility questions. Lots of expertise in the engine forum for this question. Welcome to the pages dbwr.
