I've disasembled the hood from the 47 truck. There is paint body color paint in between the panels. There was also body color paint on the back sides of the rear braces, and the under side of the hood strap. This would mean that the hoods were painted with the final body colors, then assembled. I find this interesting as the rear braces are spot welded to each half at the center in two places. Lots of little to rivits to replace here. Had the hood not been cracked at the center braces, I would never than taken it apart and seen this.
