This may sound a little off, but I don't have a creative bone in my body. I'm close to having to decide what color to paint my long awaited frame-up restoration of my 52'.
Is there a link to some kind of program that has a line drawing of an AD, that allows you to click on a part and add color from a pallet? Like some kind of paint program.
Then I, and others, could try different combinations, espacially if you were going two-tone.

Try looking at some of the wheel suppliers - there was one that had models of most of the trucks and you could see how the wheels look on them. The web window had stock colors and then some color bars to do custom colors. Try the tire rack. I think they still have it.

That visualizer is a pretty impressive piece of software. It would be nice to have access to the code, to add two-tone for fenders/body or upper/lower cab.

Even lets you roll the wheels in forward and reverse. I enjoyed the low-rider view.

yes it is cool, I've spent hours w/ it in the past!
there's another tire site that uses it too, unfortunately what makes it work is java, and I don't have a clue how to code that, but if you do [or know someone] the files that run it are

I think that it is not possible to download all the necessary server-side java, asp, etc files.

maybe so, but the .jar and .class files are powerful stuff and actually work on the HD rather than 'online' - most systems already have the jre files that make java work - I've got applications that require nothing more than a current jre version and .jar to do amazing things - beyond me tho!

those are neat, i use adobe photohop. you need to learn the program, easy, and then you can take a picture of your truck and manipulate it. the color selection is infinte, because it has all colors and all shades to choose from. very cool and can help a lot.

Or use the wheel visualizer, do a SHIFT+PRINT SCREEN to capture the screen, cut out the truck bit, and then do it twice once for each two tone color and then cobble the bits together. I know its a bit much...
