Has anybody tried bob's out of Oregon?

I never checked locally with the auto glass guys to see if they could do it. You may want to try them first. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | I think it is "luck of the draw" on 1954 windshield glass, especially if you want to use the stainless inserts. If you are not using the stainless inserts, you should not have problems.
The problem with the '54 glass and the stainless inserts is either that the glass patterns have gotten a little larger over the years or that the curve of the glass has to closely match the curve of the window opening (and the curve of the stainless trim). With the stainlness trim in place, there is very little "fudge-space (wiggle-room)". | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 384 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 384 | Tim/Larry, Thanks for the replies. I don't have the inserts so maybe it will be ok. Taking off this pm for a week or so and won't reply until back. Thanks again. Sounds do able.
