I usually do my own blasting, but it's a job I really don't want to do around the house anymore. With two little ones, I don't want to have lead-based paint dust floating aound. Does anyone know a media blaster in Northeast? Looking for plastic media or soda blasting.
Thanks in advance,
Andy

It was lead based paint? I thought it was lacquer.

Andy,
There is a company called Duncan Mobile Wash in Oriskany NY outside Utica that does soda blasting.
I'm not sure if its what you want or need. He used to do pressure washing for a fleet that I was involved with. His name is Dan at 315-339-0210. He has a 59 he's redoing. Questions PM me

Dan

Hot Rod Dad,
I had the same worries as factorybrook. After some research I found that most of the colors have lead in them. I guess it enhanced the color. You will find most of the lead in red and I think yellow. I stopped sand blasting because I was worried about what I was exposing my kids to...and, my nieghbors complained too. What a messy deal. I have to find someone in Florida to finish where I stopped.

Michael
