Guys,

I was just about to post a question about why not use 230/250 pistons in a 292, when I realized I had a spare set of 250 pistons and 3 sets of 292s. I put the pistons side by side and was really amazed at the size difference. Needless to say my question was quickly answered before my eyes. wink

Here's a tip for you 250 builders- - - -307 V-8 pistons are a direct swap, same size, weight, wrist pin size, and compression distance, but they're flat-tops. It's a quick way to get a nice compression increase, and it really turns the old 250 on, especially with a little more camshaft at the same time. I've done it on several buildups with good results.
