No oil pressure. Spun the oil pump with a drill. Oil runs out the back somewhere. Engine is out, got a newer oil pan which I am looking to get restored somewhere. Farm it out for lack of tools, patience, and ability. Is the rear oil seal that hard to replace? What else would cause that? | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 28,674 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 28,674 | Check the "freeze" plug at the back of the camshaft bore. If it has come loose for some reason the oil pressure will vent into the bellhousing. A bad rear main bearing seal WILL NOT affect the oil pressure. It will just cause a puddle. Jerry

Make sure the line is not broken or missing.
