Does the long one go towards the front of the truck or does the short one go to the front? I don't remember how I installed them the last time but I just guessed at it. I figure that they will work the best if I do it right.

I don't know how much difference it will make but the brakes on my truck need all the help they can get. I will write that down in my manual so I will be sure to get it right from now on.

The front (primary) shoe is shorter because most of the braking action is done by the rear shoe through the servo action.
