After 3 months and 300 miles on my newest toy,a '52 4400 with only 22,000 miles, I lost 5 qts. of oil. I changed the valve cover, side push rod cover and oil pan gaskets and still had the notirous oil leak come back. I broke out a black light and multiply attempts kept fighting that driveway killer leaks. The light showed the same side of the oil pan leaking. The STOVEBOLTS that held the oil pan kept backing off. I changed the screws to longer allen caps with flat and lock washers. That cut the leak to almost to nothing. But a drip came back. Bing go the black light found the fuel pump leaked. It was tightened and the last little leak was gone . I hope this helps any one with the same issue. Thank God it was not the rear main.

You should point out that to get the black light to show leaks you need to add UV leak detection dye to the oil.

for info sake most conventional oils and fuels have a phosphorus element in them, no additional dyes needed, just uv blacklight flashlight in the dark.
