The owner delivered the truck in a ton of pieces on a trailer so we aren't certain we have all the parts, and we are not installing the original engine so I have nothing in the front to bolt it to right now either. Thanks in advance for any help.

We don't have the original bellhousing, and We are going to have to use a different bellhousing anyway due to the small block chevy we plan to install so I think this means we are back to the drawing board. Then only need to fabricate or modify front engine mount? | | | | | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 22 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 22 | If I remember right---- you can use the 1955, 56, and 57 chevy car, or truck v8 bellhousing, as they have the side mounts, or you will have to build a cross member for the side mounts of the v8 and a crossmember for the tailshaft of the transmission. The 51 transmission will bolt up to the 55 56 57 bellhousing. | | |
