I've rebuilt, to the best of my abilities, the motor and have it back in. The trouble I'm facing is that the bezel nut tightens down and then the switch mechanism still twists and turns in the dash. I've bought a new nut, but that didn't solve anything. Anyone else ever have this? I don't recall it being an issue years and years ago when I restored this truck. Thought about putting a washer behind it to take up the slack, but that shouldn't be necessary. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 39 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 39 | I tried using a small thin nut from a toggle switch. I put it behind the bezel nut and that did the trick! You can't even tell. However.....the cable seems to be binding up. the knob will turn easier on when shutting it off, but doesn't turn as smooth when turning it on. A cable routing issue? Thoughts? | | |
