While reading thru the latest issue of "Hot Rod magazine" I read this article about how this company called Dynacorn has reproduced all steel bodies for '69 camaro's, GM licensed. Buried way in the back of this article, it tells about the future plans of the company...... Produce 67-68 camaro convertibles, and then " the next priority is to produce complete cabs for 47-53 chevy 5 window trucks, followed by 67-68 mustang fastbacks" grin grin grin

New cabs will soon be available, whoohoooo!!

be safe folks

I have searched thru both Dynacor and golden what ever inc site and couldn't find a darn thing about it. Do any of you guys have the actual link to real info?

martinsr i read the same article and i was left with the impression that it was on their "to do" list not that they have done one at least that was the way it was reported. i found a fiberglass cab for 5800$ at a company i believe was called u.s. body parts i dont remember how i found the site but that was the first one i've seen metal or not. but i suspect it will not be long till one is out there with all the panel pieces out now

I'm watching this topic closely. My 53 cab is pretty rusty around the bottom (maybe too much).
I wonder what it would cost to repair the whole thing.

The goldenleafauto ad for the cabs was in a trader magazine. It said "coming soon". --shrug-- thats all I know.

New fiberglass ones can be found here

http://www.usbody.com/

I don't think they are a good replacement though. Looks like alot of work, and then it still is not the same as an original steel one.
For the money and time, and work that would have to go in to buying and finishing one you could buy very very nice original and have it cleaned, fixed, and painted for probably the same money. And the you would have the real thing.

has anyone used any of the repo panels or doors that is being advertised as i would think that the cab would be made out of parts. i think Brothers and chevy duty has the piecs to assemble the cab (or most of it). i noticed jim carter did not have any of these parts in their web catalog so i called and asked why not. they said the sheet metal was too thin and they did not want to sell it. so i was curiuos it any body had any experience they would like to share tom
