Same thing on their PSA 9" discs I bought for my belt/disc sander. 80 grit from Menards has a thick backing, lots of grit, lasted for weeks and the peel paper was wax that came off easy. The ones from HF are paper thin, the grit only lasts a few minuets you can't remove the peel paper, that is, if there is any, so you have to spray them with 3m adhesive to use them. I don't think the Chinese know what "PSA" is supposed to mean. Denny Graham Sandwich, IL

First time I used them, I noticed a hole in the right index finger. Wasn't too big, so being the cheapskate I am, I sewed it up. Used them again today and there's another finger with a hole in it. Went and bought a decent pair from the local hardware. Maybe I'll use the HF ones for kneeling pads - or maybe I'll toss them.

Now I'm sorry I don't work in a shop. That's just diabolical. The real beauty of a cheap HF tool is that after it fails, you can throw it as far as you can without any financial remorse. Amen to that.

I have better luck with Menards and Tractor Supply. The store brand seem to be better quality than HF and price is about the same. Tractor supply seems to have really good deals on clearance items, especially after they re-fit the stores for the next season.
The last automotive tools I purchased, (a ball joint press and power steering puller), I purchased from Amazon. The quality was HF equivalent or even better and price was better. Not to mention, it showed up on my doorstep in a couple days. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 2,063 Big Bolt Forum Moderator | | Big Bolt Forum Moderator Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 2,063 | I bought some of their 500watt halogen bulbs for my work light.
