Came across a couple of real nice split rim 6 lug Budd style wheels recently. I am not sure if they are Motor, Budd, Firestone, or Kelsey Hayes. No makers marks found. There are some numbers on the hub mounting portion: 27198 10 1732. Any wheel gurus that can help me find out something from those numbers?

Do they look like any of these?

If they're good and fit your use does it matter the exact manufacturer?

Thanks, it looks somewhat like the Goodyear type L, but not 100% positive.

As for what does it matter...its all in the history and learning things from the past. I would much rather recognize the number/makers mark/symbol and know in the future. It is way more fun when you learn something.

I am still interested in matching the numbers to a manufacturer.
