I have read many responses to this question over the years. The collective wisdom seems to say that there are only 2 or 3 manufacturers of the sheet metal for these trucks.
Original pieces will fit the best so if you can find some decent used pieces, that would be best.
I have purchased from Top Banana. They seem to be a shoestring operation that just drop ships. The parts were of decent quality.
I also buy from Truck and Car Shop. They have retail stores in CA and NC.
I have not tried FixMyRust.com but they have good prices and I think shipping is free. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 293 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 293 | I'm not sure what part of CA your in, but there are quite a few of the 60 - 66 trucks still around out here. If you look on craigslist, you will will find a guy from down toward Riverside (LA) and one from up near Stockton that have been dealing in 60 - 66 parts for a number of years now. Depending on what your looking for, this stuff seems to turn up fairly regularly on craigslist, if you keep an eye out for it. | | |
