I'm working away on my truck, and it looks like the shaft is pretty pitted up. I have another one from a different truck, but whoever took it out pounded it out from the frame side and beat up the threaded end. Does anyone out there sell replacements? I've looked at a couple vendors, but no luck. Advice?

Thanks!

You may be able to fix the threads with a thread repair file. It is a many-sided file with different pitches on each side. It allows you to work on 3-4 threads at a time, working around the circumference of the bolt.

The Brake / Clutch shaft is not being reproduced.

This is a rare part & very hard to find NOS.

I bought this one GM NOS for my 1954 in 2010.

The guy mushroomed the end of the shaft pretty bad, but I do have a friend with the tap & die stuff around, so we will give it a try. Thanks for a great lead, George! I had a feeling it wasn't out there in the reproduction world.

Thanks, Guys!!

A rare part shows up on ebay once in a blue moon.

There is currently a Brake & Clutch Shaft

on ebay. I looks like it needs a good soaking in Evapo

Rust. Never the less it's GM NOS. It might be worth it

to take a chance.

ebay seller incorrectly states, it's only for a DD

model truck.
