For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 126 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 126 | I have seen many 1939 to 1946 Chevy truck cabs setting around through the years, & other than changing the dash in 1940, from the flat face dash with three gages in 1939 to the rounded dash with the gages in a panel. I can't tell much difference in the cab's. Also the rear fenders? I know that 1939 rear fenders are about 1.1/2" wider than 1940 to 46, but are there any other difference in the rear fenders that a guy would need to watch for? I am in need of a left rear 1939 fender, or a pair of the later fenders for my project.

Car chat means talks about Chevy's. All other car makers only build transportation. I don't work on my cars, I entertain my self in my garage, so my nabor tells me.

I'm running the 39 fenders on my 40. I have a few extra fenders but they're very mangled. If you don't mind shipping across the border try Scotts super trucks in penhold, alberta. http://www.scottssupertrucks.com/ They have a decent yard of old chevs, also there's a guy who had a complete '39 box with fenders I almost bought a few years back (he also had several hundred 30's-50's trucks) PM me your email addy and I can send you his contact info. He's in Saskatchewan. | | |
