Is the reverse lock out lever only to be found on the floor shift lever on the 4 speed trans and not the 3 speed floor shift lever trans?

What years used that reverse lock out lever?

Reverse lock out was used up to 1947 on 4 speeds.

Dave, am I correct to assume that if there is no reverse lock out lever then it is always a 3 speed prior to 1947?
