Not as many long wheelbase 6500 series trucks floating around, as there are 6400 series trucks. That's the only difference in the two, is the wheel base. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,236 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,236 | Where did you come up with the production numbers? Mike B http://www.caaarguide.com/sub1/id392.html I might be wrong, Mike. But I took the last number in the line to be total production, tho it might only be a partial. That part of the chart is not very easy to understand (at least it's not to me, DOH!). | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,236 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,236 | I believe those numbers are values, not production numbers. To the best of my knowledge there are no production figures available for our trucks. I just thought it HAD to be a prod number especially since it was in the prod column....But then again, I've been wrong many times before.... | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | If it is a 6500 series, there were: - around 4800 made in 1950 (1% of trucks produced) and - around 9000 made in 1952 (3% of trucks produced) and - around 8400 made in 1953 (3% of trucks produced).
Those number are supposedly for calendar year, not for model year.
I have not seen any other Advance-Design year's production numbers. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | that site is an appraisal site, the last columns [S, 2,4,6,8,10] as explained are values, the "PROD" column is blank [unknown, as Mike sez] .... so yes, $23,850 would be "appraised value" for a condition 10 truck Bill | | | | | Joined: May 2016 Posts: 83 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2016 Posts: 83 | that site is an appraisal site, the last columns [S, 2,4,6,8,10] as explained are values, the "PROD" column is blank [unknown, as Mike sez] .... so yes, $23,850 would be "appraised value" for a condition 10 truck Bill Oh, ok! I see! I understand now. Thanks very much Bill for setting me straight! The chart makes perfect sense now. | | |
