I have new wiper motor seal for my wiper motor, but am unclear how it installs. My old one was dust so i cant compare.
the new one is rubber on one side, the other side has a what appears to be a thin layer of plastic, with something like tar underneath. it appears that the plastic is meant to peel off and the tar would stick to the cowl panel. But the plastic is too thin to peel and only a small piece comes off when i try to peel it.
this is for a 65 suburban, anyone know which way i should face the grommet? rubber to the motor, plastic and tar to the cowl is the way i think it should go, but i dont know.
