Rocky Mountain Bolters,

My name is Steve Rugg. I go by Rugo on the Stovebolt page. We relocated to Gilbert AZ, about 4 years ago. We moved from the Vancouver Washington area. I have a 53 3100 that I have been in the slow pocess of restoring, for more years than I care to admit. I hired a recommended body and paint guy, to finish up that part of my truck. He worked on it for a few months and then just ran out of gas with the project. I retrieved my truck a few weeks ago. So, now I am looking for somebody else to finish the body and paint work. Like all of us, I would like to find somebody that will do really nice work, for a reasonable price. I am asking for fellow Bolters to recommend somebody for me. As I say I am in Gilbert AZ. I know that there are a handful of members in my area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rugo, my father lived in Sierra Vista for several years.. he found a guy in NACO, Mx that does real good work, although sometimes it takes some prompting to get him to make some progress. That is quite a long haul from your area tho.

Thank you for the recommendation. I really appreciate it. Yes, that is probably farther than I am willing to go. We have a number of Bolters that live in this area. I am confident that one or more will point me in the right direction.

Back in the late 60's -early 70's it was common for people from Phoenix to go down to Nogales or Tijuana to get paint or upholstery.
There were some fairly good craftsmen that did fine work for a good price. The trick was finding a good one.

Now that is thinking outside the box. I am just not sure that I have the guts to drag my truck down to Nogales, or Tijuana. A little rougher neighborhood than I want to leave my truck in. I do appreciate that you took time to respond.
