Having trouble with my 64 pickup. One suggestion is to change fuel filter. Hate to admit it but I don't know where it is. Excuse...truck is kinda new to me. Thanks.

follow the gas line from the carb back, might not have come with a filter, on which case add one [and check/clean the carb] .... it isn't in the tank like some new things

It may be in the carb. where the gas line goes in. Then again it may not be. What carb do you have?

That brass filter is what came originally. Often someone puts an aux. filter in the line somewhere, which is a good idea. It may have a sock on the inlet line in the tank. They are known to get plugged up.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Posted this in engine section but for the ones of you that don't go there. Got it running quite well. Someone had chopped a section of ni-chrome ignition wire off and I was putting to much voltage into the primary side of the coil. Installed a 1.5 ohm resistor in series but too late...closed the barn door, but the cows done left. Replace coil and now the miss is gone.
I'll install an inline fuel filter when I once again can enter the shop and not melt.
