For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2002 Posts: 188 Member | | Member Joined: Jul 2002 Posts: 188 | I have a craftsman compressor, output 8.8cfm@40psi 6.5cfm @90 psi. I want to buy a touch up HVLP gun to use with this compressor. I do NOT want to paint the exterior of the truck with it. I want to paint the firewall while the engine is out, the inner fenders, and the cab interior. I might use it to paint the frame. I will have the truck exterior done professionally when it comes time for the exterior and I have saved the cash. In crusing the internet I find the the Finex FX100 is highly rated. I have seen somw full size HVLP guns that would work with my compressor also. I'd like some feed back and some personal experience with model #'s etc. to get a first hand feel. It might be a little small for your needs though. I've also used the DeVilbiss Finish Line gun with a small compressor like you have with good results. Would probably work better for painting larger items like your frame and inner fenders. The little touch up gun, although it could do the job, would be tedious, especially having to refill the small cup continuously. Sharpe also has an FX200 and 300 gun though I have no experience with them.
