My 36 chevy 1/2 ton has a very wornout vehicle No. plate, I can make out the vin # but thats it..after taking it off the firewall, I see blue paint in back of it, but the fire wall is a drab army green... the original dash color is the same..how can one determine what the color of this truck was when new? An army truck in the thirties? I'll be doing this truck in Airdale brown with matching dash (blk fenders)..any ideas on how to find out original color from just the vin #? thanks,
