Thanks for the welcome sir. Im in colville area just an hr south of canada. Seeing people actively saving these old trucks is awsome. Make me want another 2ton. But i found the weak point on this model. Yes its the outer tie rods. I have one that snapped off like a tooth pick.
Thanks again

Hy nort, welcome, does your truck have power steering or heavy duty suspension? There are different part numbers for trucks with that equipment. The parts book does not usually specify the differences but the jobber parts books may mention different thread sizes and different tapered pin sizes. If you could provide us with the thread size and overall length that may help us to provide you with the correct part number for the parts you are looking for.

Ok i think i found the outer tie rod.the book at carquest showed one way beefier then the one i have.its a 5/8 tapered bolt a littel longer then 6". I orderd one on ebay.
The drag bar on the other hand still having a hard time findimg a part number. I dont think its the heavy duty one. Mine is bent bad but measured 32" i bet strait its close to 36". Looks like same size nut as tie rods 5/8ths.
Theres a few that look close but mine the studs are both pointed down. The ones i found are one up one down.
Thanks so much fore any help.in stumped on this one.

hope you get the right ones and it all works out for ya! When you get it all together, you might post the part #s so someone searching at a later date can see the resolution!

Seems mine is a 5k lb front end. Not knowing forsure i come to that conclusion because of the parts that fit 3783085 is a kit with sleave and outer tierod
3778877 is outer tierod alone
3768926 is the iner tierod
3778870 is sleeves
I cant find any part numbers for the dragbar so i had to buy a used one.

I owned a 1960 Chevrolet L80 roadtractor that had that "Torsion Bar" suspension under it. Best riding old big truck, I ever owned.
