Do you press it on or hammer it on with a pipe?

Some go on easy....some not so easy. Good luck. | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 55 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 55 | If you have a driveline shop nearby take it to them that's what I did. Pressed old one off pressed new one on, 5 minutes, $5, although that was about 20 years ago! | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,877 . | . Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,877 | The manual is helpful.
The bearing fits in a rubber sleeve/cushion and is pressed in the hanger/bracket. | | | | Joined: Jul 2015 Posts: 203 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2015 Posts: 203 | I went with a modern style bearing assembly.

It sill works great. | | | | Joined: Jul 2015 Posts: 203 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2015 Posts: 203 | The old one slid right off and the new one slid right on. I bought a modern SKF bearing assby from RockAuto and had to add a 1.5" spacer and open up the bolt holes on the frame. Working good.
