For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 378 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 378 | I've changed my plans on swapping my converted 49 torque tube to the later model 69 rear end. I will use the 49' and cut out the old spring perches and replace with new spring perches with two holes in them. That way the emergency brakes and ect. will still work. I will clean up the 3:73:1 rear gears and swap them out. Should help on the gas mileage also. Just thought I'd let everyone know. I'll try, I say try, to get some picture of the conversion. Take care everyone. The only gear ratio upgrade available is a replacement gearset in 3.55:1 ratio that's sold by a couple of antique parts vendors. Jerry
